Expert care
- The senior clinical leadership team at Eating Recovery Center is comprised of internationally recognized eating disorders treatment experts, many of whom have actively participated in the research supporting the evidence base in effective eating disorders treatment.
- Extensive experience of medical and clinical leadership prepares them to effectively address the full spectrum of eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, eating disorder not otherwise specified (EDNOS) and binge eating disorder.
- Multi-disciplinary treatment teams consist of a psychiatrist, internist, psychotherapist, family therapist, dietician, nurse, patient care assistants, case manager and an aftercare coordinator; all team members are compassionate, humble and understand the challenges of recovery from an eating disorder and are deeply committed to guiding your loved one toward lasting recovery.

Comprehensive, individualized treatment
- Thorough pre-admission assessment with patients, families and referring professionals creates holistic understanding of your loved one’s history, needs and recovery challenges.
- Individualized, developmentally appropriate treatment plan created by senior clinicians for each individual.
- Close medical monitoring to address medical complications of eating disorders provided by staff of full-time psychiatrists and internal medicine physicians; 24/7 nursing observation and support available.
- Specialized treatment tracks address co-morbid medical and mood disorders, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, substance abuse, diabetes, gastrointestinal illness and other organ disease; treatment plans recognize distinct patient populations like athletes and those requesting a religious component to the treatment experience. In Child and Adolescent Services, patients have the ability to request Christian-oriented therapists and dietitian; in Adult Services, a Christian-oriented therapist may be available upon request. Eating Recovery Center does not offer a specific Christian treatment track.
- Evidence-based therapeutic interventions include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Based Treatment (FBT), while experiential therapies include art, psychodrama and movement.

- Comprehensive levels of care allow patients to admit to the program that meets their unique needs; your loved one is able to learn, practice and build confidence in recovery skills in structured, supportive environments prior to stepping down to a level of care with less supervision.
- Family therapy and education programming seek to prepare parents and siblings to effectively support your loved one’s recovery following discharge from treatment.
- Extensive aftercare planning conducted by Aftercare Coordinator to ensure your loved one has a “plan of action” for maintaining recovery progress and continuity of care through pre-arranged appointments with an outpatient treatment team experienced in the treatment of eating disorders.
- Lifetime access to monthly Family Days programming free of charge, even after your loved one completes treatment at Eating Recovery Center.
