Please join ERC/Insight for a 1.5 CE/CME Credit Hour Event
“What Primary Care Providers and Subspecialists Need to Know About Eating Disorders”
1.5 CE credits are available for psychologists, dietitians, and masters-level clinicians. 1.5 CME credits are available for medical professionals.

About the Presentation:
This lecture will start by discussing how clinical presentations of eating pathology have evolved and are changing thus requiring a high index of suspicion by clinicians in order to recognize and diagnose. We will then discuss the importance of early recognition and timely intervention in the primary care setting and hence why front-line clinicians need to be well informed about EDs. A review of the egosyntonic nature of these disorders and medical complications of restriction / underweight and binge / purge behaviors will follow. Lastly, we will review opportunities that exist in the primary care setting to address and manage these disorders.
