Up to 25% of new mothers experience postpartum mood disorders—and not just depression, but also anxiety and even psychosis.
Participants will learn to distinguish between what is a normal part of the adjustment process, and what is clinically significant. The experiences of women both with and without pre-existing mental health issues will be discussed. Treatment approaches and strategies that effectively prevent and reduce symptoms will also be presented.
