Seeking help for binge eating disorder often involves overcoming feelings of shame, isolation, and, perhaps worst of all, the fear that there is no end to this cycle. Once you’ve recognized and begun to address your binge eating behaviors, it’s reasonable to want the people in your life closest to you – especially your partner – to support those efforts. So, what do you do when your partner shows up after work with your go-to binge food? Dr. Ashley Solomon shares her insight.

Treatment is very hard work, and not just for the person with the eating disorder. Partners and parents struggle tremendously as their loved ones get well. It’s stressful to watch your loved one navigate the twists and turns of recovery, and particularly so when you when you’re navigating all of this too.
