One of the most rewarding parts of my role as Executive Director of the Eating Recovery Foundation is to meet with others who share our passion for providing support to patients and families impacted by eating disorders. I had the pleasure of recently meeting with Kendra Scott. In addition to being the designer, founder and CEO of her own jewelry line and retail stores, Kendra is a shining example of philanthropy at its very best.
Through her philanthropic initiatives, called Kendra Gives Back, she has donated over $1 million and 50,000 pieces of jewelry to communities in need of relief support and nonprofit organizations. We are proud to be one of those organizations Kendra and her team supports.
On Thursday, September 15, from 5pm to 8pm, Kendra Gives Back Parties will take place at select locations across the country in our honor. In addition to sips and sweets being served, 20% of proceeds will be donated to the Eating Recovery Foundation, including a selection of signature jewelry items designed specifically for us.
