(October 21, 2015)—Eating Recovery Center (ERC), the only national, vertically integrated, health care system dedicated to the treatment of serious eating disorders, announced today its acquisition of the Riley Center, an eating disorder treatment center located in Greenville, S.C. Founded and led by Beth Riley, MSW, LISW-CP, CEDS, the Riley Center is recognized for its compassionate, comprehensive and responsive care for eating disorders through its Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs.
“Beth Riley and her team of experts at the Riley Center have earned a reputation as a trusted provider of excellent eating disorder care in South Carolina,” said Ken Weiner, MD, FAED, CEDS, Founding Partner and CEO of Eating Recovery Center. “Eating Recovery Center offers many benefits to the Riley Center’s patients, families and referring professionals. These benefits include best practice sharing with the eating disorder field’s esteemed experts, access to a higher level of care for patients requiring inpatient hospitalization or residential care, and additional resources to expand outpatient programs to help more individuals struggling with eating disorders.” In the coming weeks, the Riley Center program will transition and officially become Eating Recovery Center, The Carolinas. This exciting development reflects Eating Recovery Center’s strategy of growing the company by extending care through the best eating disorder programs in the country.
“Partnering with Eating Recovery Center offers expertise, support and resources to help us deliver the best care possible and meet the rising demand for eating disorder treatment in the Carolinas,” said Riley. “Planned program expansions will allow us to accommodate more patients and families at our Greenville treatment center, while Eating Recovery Center’s Inpatient and Residential programs are ideal for patients requiring medical and psychiatric stabilization prior to beginning—or continuing—the recovery journey at the Riley Center.”
