Eating Recovery Center Names Julie Holland as Chief Marketing Officer

Seasoned Eating Disorder Professional will Lend Clinical Acumen, Marketing Expertise to Denver Treatment Center’s Outreach Efforts Denver, CO (June 22, 2009) ― The Eating Recovery Center, the premier hospital-based program for eating recovery, today announced that it has named Julie D. Holland, MHS, CEDS, as its chief marketing officer.  Ms. Holland is responsible for the nationwide expansion of the Denver, Colo. treatment center’s outreach, digital and traditional media presence and overall brand awareness.  She will report to the Eating Recovery Center’s executive director. Ms. Holland is recognized in the industry as both a clinician and public speaker.  A certified eating disorders specialist, she has directed marketing and customer relationship management programs at several leading eating disorder treatment programs across the country.  Most recently, she was vice president, business development, Eating Disorders Programs for CRC Health Group, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of all intake, marketing and outreach efforts for CRC Eating Disorders Programs nationwide. “We are thrilled to welcome this experienced clinician, seasoned public speaker and knowledgeable marketing professional to our team,” said Andrew Braun, executive director of the Eating Recovery Center.  “Ms. Holland has the expertise to help the Eating Recovery Center provide assistance to people struggling with anorexia or bulimia nationwide by building awareness and education around these devastating diseases.” Previously, Ms. Holland was the executive director of the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.  She has also served as director, professional relations and education at the Renfrew Centers of Philadelphia, Pa. and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and as director of the Eating Disorders Program at the Clark Center at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Ga. Ms. Holland has specialized in the treatment of self-esteem, eating and body image issues for adults and adolescents for more than 23 years.  She maintained private practices in the U.S. and Bermuda, providing consultation and training to professionals and consumers.  She is a certified eating disorders specialist and an approved supervisor for the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP).  She is also the director of certification for IAEDP and holds memberships in several women’s healthcare and eating disorder organizations. Ms. Holland received her master’s degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Counseling from Georgia State University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Armstrong State College.
