Anxiety and Panic: Prince Harry Shares His Struggles

Prince Harry anxiety and panicIt’s so heartening to see the royal family step up to the plate and use their influence for a good cause.

If you haven’t heard yet about the Heads Together campaign, the royal family has been working hard to increase awareness of mental health issues, to encourage people to seek help for problems related to mental health.

Recently, Prince Harry discussed his own struggles with anxiety and panic attacks, which were at times triggered by being in a crowded room.

Prince Harry reported, “In my case, suit and tie, every single time I was in any room with loads of people, which is quite often, I was just pouring with sweat, like heart beating — boom, boom, boom, boom — and literally just like a washing machine.”

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, get me out of here now,'” he continued. “Oh, hang on, I can’t get out of here, I have got to just hide it.”

Some things that helped Prince Harry cope with his own anxiety issues was to join the military, serve in Afghanistan and develop the Invictus Games, a sporting event for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women.

Prince Harry is one example showing how people can overcome mental health struggles.
