Alexandra (Alex) Smith, LPC, M.S.Ed., M.Phil.Ed.

Clinical Director

Alex has been with ERC since 2018, beginning at our flagship Evergreen location as a primary therapist. She then moved to Willow where she spent the next two years as part of the original Intensive Treatment Unit team supporting our most complex patients with her creative treatment planning, skills-focused, and behavioral interventions.

As Program Therapist Manager, she developed the Milieu Management Training, which provides teammates practical skills in verbal de-escalation and milieu management. She has worked with teammates and regional leaders around the country to expand this training nationally. Alex enjoys teaching clinicians how to develop innovative treatment plans, conduct engaging group therapy, and incorporate Positive Psychology interventions into traditional treatment methods.

Alex is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and prior to ERC worked as Consumer Insights Director for a global strategy and marketing consultancy. In her free time, she enjoys watching Formula 1 and spending as much time as possible in nature.
