Carolyn Sanders, PhD

Chief Nursing Officer

Dr. Sanders has over 30 years of professional experience in clinical nursing that includes over 24 years of executive responsibility in the areas of patient services, hospital nursing, pharmacy, quality, behavioral health and professional risk management and outcomes management.

Dr. Sanders has implemented large-scale cultural change in areas such as improved access, service excellence, nursing practice integration, patient experience and shared leadership. She a passion for mentoring and leader development and has published several papers and spoken nationally on leadership and evidence-based practice.

Dr. Sanders has her PhD in Nursing from the University of Colorado Denver College of Nursing, her MS in Nursing Administration and Nursing Education from Regis University and her BS in Nursing from Northeastern University. Before coming to Eating Recovery Center/Pathlight as CNO, she was the CNO at University of Colorado Health.

Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center are accredited through the Joint Commission.
