Eating Disorder Informed Professional (EDIP) Designation

The EDIP designation is recognition that a professional has completed 6 hours of training to understand the basics of how eating disorders can develop, how they are identified and the medical consequences of eating disorders. An EDIP is informed about how language and culture can trigger disordered eating and eating disorder behaviors in individuals who may be predisposed to these diseases. They have received the education necessary to compassionately support an individual who is struggling, while also connecting them to resources and treatment for recovery.
