Eden Himidian, LCSW, RYT is the Clinical Director of the Mood and Anxiety Program at the Residential level of care at ERC Pathlight. Eden has been working in the MAP and ED programs at ERC Insight since 2014, practicing therapy with a focus on DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and yoga. Eden earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration in June of 2013. Eden trained in DBT and ACT under Dr. Paul Holmes and continued her training in these fields in her professional career. As a certified yoga instructor through the Chicago Yoga Center, she has always had an interest in integrating mind-body connection into her therapeutic work. After studying with Bessel Van Der Kolk and his team at the Trauma Center to become certified in Trauma Sensitive Yoga Therapy at the Kripalu Institute and completing her certification in Yoga Informed Psychotherapy through Live Oaks in Chicago in 2014, Eden now leads trauma sensitive yoga therapy groups within MAP. With this background, Eden’s goal is to offer a holistic approach towards emotional and behavioral development.
