Please join ERC Pathlight and Empathy for a supportive series created for individuals experiencing grief over the death of a loved one. Throughout the six weeks, group members can expect to learn information and skills to support their individual grief process, express thoughts, feelings, and struggles related to the journey of grief, as well as build a community of grievers with fellow participants who can relate to your experience.
Each one-hour session will feature formal education on segments of the grief experience, dedicated time spent with group members in small cohorts to share their responses to the material and make connections with each other, and optional weekly journaling assignments will be provided to encourage reflection between our meetings. While grief and loss can take many valid forms, this support series is intended for individuals mourning the death of a loved one.
This group is being held in partnership with Empathy. When a loved one dies, the family is left behind to face huge challenges, both emotional and logistical. Empathy was built to give them guidance and peace of mind, leveraging the huge capacity of technology to support grieving families through these difficult times by providing them with tools and resources to help them process, understand and deal with their emotions as well as with all the practical tasks that follow. Empathy is committed to making loss a bit less hard, for everyone, every day: https://www.empathy.com/learn
