Overview

For decades diet and exercise have been touted as an effective method to improve well-being and mental health. However, recommendations to improve mental health using diet and exercise may be contraindicated in some populations. This presentation will address how food and movement can be beneficial, how to safely integrate movement into mental health treatment, and how to identify risk factors and red flags for when recommendations related to diet and exercise may lead to negative physical and mental health consequences.
