Child & Adolescent Course Titles & Descriptions

Week 1 - Tools for Connection and Confident Communication With Your Loved One

This course provides an overview of Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) which is the foundation for ERC family therapy and education. Attendees will learn skills that can support their loved one’s healing through emotion and behavior coaching.

Week 2 - What’s Food Got To Do With It? - Our Nutrition Approach

This course provides an overview of the ERC nutrition approach. We will discuss the myths around nutrition and will provide best practices and support tips. We will help you understand your role in supporting your loved one when it comes to nutrition.

Week 3 - A Medical Lens: Eating Disorder Treatment and Recovery

This course provides an overview on eating disorders and associated medical factors. We will discuss both the medical complications and our approach to supporting healing.

Week 4 - Stay the Course: Practical Steps to Support

This course provides an overview on how to prepare for when your loved one steps down from higher levels of care and continues on their treatment and recovery journey. Attendees will learn specific ways they can provide structure, routine, and ongoing support.

ERC Hope Orientation for Family & Friends

Join us virtually, every Wednesday for the Hope Orientation for Family & Friends. The Hope Orientation is open to all ERC friends and family and will be hosted on Zoom.

All stages of treatment are important, but the beginning is a critical foundation to them all. The Hope Orientation will help establish a strong beginning, middle and end.

When you attend this important Orientation, we’ll guide you through:

  • The basics: who, what, when, where, why, and next steps.
  • Practical tips for how to make the most of treatment.
  • Best ways to support your loved one during their early stages of recovery.
