Lisa Tuchman is a board-certified Pediatrician and Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine specialist at Eating Recovery Center in Maryland. She formerly served as Division Chief for the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. Lisa graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Social Thought and Analysis after which she spent one year as a Fulbright Scholar in Malawi studying HIV and malnutrition. She returned to the US and earned her MD degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health degree in International Health and Complex Emergencies from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She completed a pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and a fellowship in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She remained on faculty at CHOP for two years and joined Children’s National in 2009. Dr. Tuchman’s research focused on improving health systems, adolescent and young adult care transitions, and reproductive health for youth with complex chronic conditions. She has also authored or co-authored more than 75 peer reviewed publications, chapters and abstracts. She is an expert in the clinical management of eating disorders and joined Eating Recovery Center in December 2021.
