Eating Recovery Center of Washington’s comprehensive eating disorder treatment programs are housed in two beautiful, state-of-the-art facilities in the Bellevue area. Bellevue is located in the Eastside region of King County, Washington, across Lake Washington from Seattle.

The fifth largest city in Washington with a population of over 130,000, Bellevue has long been known as a suburb or satellite city of Seattle. Bellevue was recently named the 4th best place to live in America, in small part due to the beautiful views—in fact, “Bellevue” is French for “beautiful view.” Much of Bellevue retains a small-town feel, with thriving, woodsy neighborhoods and a vast network of green spaces and recreational facilities that keep people calling describing it as “a city in a park.”

Eating Recovery Center of Washington has been thoughtfully designed with patients, families and referring professionals in mind. From the central location of the eating disorder treatment center, to the group rooms, teaching kitchen, interactive classroom, community education center and the housing options for adults and adolescents, Eating Recovery Center of Washington provides a calming, therapeutic, supportive environment to move towards lasting eating disorder recovery.

Eating Recovery Center of Washington’s Partial Hospitalization Program is designed to be an alternative to residential treatment for adult patients in the Pacific Northwest requiring a higher level of eating disorders care. In addition to comprehensive daily programming, housing options are provided for out-of-area patients seeking a recovery-focused lodging option near Eating Recovery Center of Washington. In fact, nearly 30 percent of patients in the Partial Hospitalization Program come to Eating Recovery Center of Washington from outside the greater Seattle area.

Housing Options for Adult Patients

Eating Recovery Center of Washington provides two housing options for out-of-area patients ages 18 and older. Transportation is provided to and from the apartments daily, as well as to and from off-site personal appointments as needed, including physician specialist appointments and therapeutic group outings. Regular group meetings discuss the dynamics of the community living environment.

  • Apartment Residence Communities – Eating Recovery Center of Washington apartment residence communities provide adult patients a peer-supported lodging option near the treatment center.
  • Supervised Apartment Residence Communities – Located in the same complex near the treatment center, these apartments offer Eating Recovery Center of Washington’s adult patients a peer-supported living environment with nighttime support and supervision from an Overnight Apartment Coordinator. Supervision can be ideal for patients that need additional containment following daily programming, patients that tend to engage in eating disordered behaviors during the night.

Housing Options for Adolescent Patients and Families

Eating Recovery Center of Washington provides several temporary family housing options, such as nearby long-term-stay hotels, to support adolescent patients and their families that do not reside in the Bellevue/greater Seattle area.
