Our training program is most appropriate for students at an advanced level of training who have previously completed a therapy practicum or have significant work or life experience relevant to the development of clinical skills.
Practicum students and master’s-level interns apply for and are accepted into one area of specialty training. Insight requires 20 hours per week of on-site training for twelve months. Responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy at an IOP and/or PHP level of care, milieu and meal support, conducting ongoing clinical assessments for insurance authorization, case management duties and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. All trainees participate in individual and group supervision, didactic and specialty seminars, staff meetings and case conferences. Fridays are a required on-site day as group supervision and didactic seminars occur on Fridays. Trainees also typically work on Saturdays for at least 6 months of the training year. The training year starts on or about July 1 (depending on when the 4th of July holiday lands) and ends on June 30th each year.
Areas of Specialty Training Available:

Mood, Anxiety and Trauma-Related Program:1- 3 positions (with 1-2 positions sharing time in the Addiction Recovery Track);
