Our site is most appropriate for students at an advanced level of training who have previously completed a therapy practicum or have significant work or life experience relevant to the development of clinical skills.

Practicum students and master’s-level interns apply for and are accepted into one area of specialty training.  ERC Insight requires 20 hours per week of on-site training for twelve months. Responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy, conducting clinical assessments, case management duties and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. All trainees participate in individual and group supervision, didactic and specialty seminars, staff meetings and case conferences.

Areas of Specialty Training Available:

Eating Disorders Program: 1-2 positions
MAP Program:1- 2 positions
Adolescent Program: 1 position

ERC Insight adheres to the Association of Chicagoland Externship and Practicum Training (ACEPT) guidelines for matching students with practicum sites. Please see Important Dates and application guidelines specified by ACEPT at  ERC Insight BHC will begin accepting applications on Friday, February 3, 2017. The dealine for applications is Friday, February 10, 2017.

  • Cover letter specifying interest in a specific area of specialty training.
  • Current vita
  • Three (3) reference letters from individuals who can speak to your clinical potential and/or abilities
  • Copies of graduate transcripts
  • Emailed applications will not be accepted
