“ERC is very pleased to be able to offer this new service to our former patients and to new patients who have been requesting such a resource to address their medical concerns. After 30 years of medically treating patients with eating disorders, publishing hundreds of scientific articles on this subject along with textbooks & speaking all over the world, I am certain of the unequivocal benefit these patients will derive from ERC’s new outpatient medical clinic for eating disordered patients. I will personally be involved in the medical care along with my ERC medical colleague, Dr. Jennifer Watts. This growing awareness of the medical issues of these patients is further evidenced by the very recent, first ever, publication of an entire issue of the International Journal of Eating Disorders wholly devoted to the medical complications of Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia. I was especially honored to be asked by the journal to be the editor for this definitive treatise on this subject.” – Philip S. Mehler, MD, CEDS, FAED, FACP, Executive Medical Director, Eating Recovery Center
