ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders by Denver Health

Medical Hospitalization for Extreme Eating Disorders

There are times when eating disorder sufferers experience severe, life-threatening medical complications as a result of their illness that first require interventional medical stabilization before entering our extreme eating disorder treatment program. In those instances, extreme eating disorder patients are hospitalized at the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health in Denver, Colorado.

The ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders is the first and only medical inpatient eating disorder treatment program of its kind in the country. Located on a dedicated medical unit at Denver Health, ACUTE patients benefit from the extensive support of a major medical hospital while receiving care from a team of experienced professionals. Inside ACUTE, the world’s leading experts provide life-saving medical stabilization for extreme eating disorder patients suffering from severe eating disorders and the resultant medical complications.
