Eating Recovery Center of San Antonio’s eating disorder treatment facility has been developed and is overseen by a compassionate team of experts across many behavioral health disciplines. The multidisciplinary leadership team at Eating Recovery Center, San Antonio is comprised of clinical, medical and dietetic professionals with extensive experience in the treatment of eating disorders. In addition to shaping the leading-edge eating disorder treatment philosophy and programming at Eating Recovery Center, San Antonio, these experts provide compassionate care to patients and families and regularly deliver education about eating disorders to the community of referring professionals.

Landry Weatherston-Yarborough, LPC, CEDS, NCC – Clinical Director

Landry Weatherston-Yarborough, LPC, CEDS, NCC is the Clinical Director at Eating Recovery Center, San Antonio. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University and her Master of Education in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University. After initially working with survivors of domestic violence, Landry joined Eating Recovery Center in 2012 and was made Clinical Director in 2017. She is a founding member and current President of the San Antonio chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp).
 
In addition to direct patient care, Landry provides trainings on eating disorders and related issues to professional and community groups. She completed foundational training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in 2014 and became a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through iaedp in 2019. Landry is passionate about evidenced-based treatment and helping patients and their families build lasting recoveries.
 

Michael Lutter MD/PhD - Attending Psychiatrist

Dr. Lutter is a physician-scientist who has been a leader in the fields of eating disorders, depression, and anxiety for the past 12 years. Dr. Lutter completed combined MD and PhD training in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2003 before completing the research-track of the Psychiatry Residency Program at UT Southwestern. He joined the Psychiatry Department as a faculty member in 2008 began a research program on the interaction of mood and feeding with a special focus on Eating Disorders. In 2012 he joined the Faculty of the Psychiatry Department at the University of Iowa where he identified the first two rare genetic mutations associated with Anorexia Nervosa. In 2016 he joined the Eating Recovery Center-Dallas to continue working on his genetic research while seeing patients in their newly opened Inpatient Hospital.

He has published 28 original research papers, written 7 review articles, and contributed 3 book chapters. In addition, he has regularly presented at national and international meetings including the Society for Neuroscience, the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, and the International Conference on Eating Disorders. He continues to pursue his passion of using translational neuroscience approaches to improve the treatment of patients with eating disorders, depression, and anxiety.
