Bella Stuart

(she/her)

Bella is a current senior at the University of Michigan. She began volunteering with ANAD as a Peer Support Group Leader at the start of 2023, drawing from her own eating disorder recovery journey to support others through theirs. Before she graduates in May 2024, Bella is committed to creating long lasting impacts that will leave her college campus a more supportive environment. In order to achieve this goal, Bella has created a new initiative on campus called the UMich Eating Disorder Support Network which aims to increase eating disorder education opportunities and support resources at the University of Michigan. In her last semester of college, Bella is most excited to leverage her experience as an ANAD volunteer to launch free peer-led eating disorder support groups for UMich students. She is also looking forward to wrapping up (and hopefully publishing!) her ongoing research on eating disorder interventions for adolescents. Post graduation, Bella will be applying to medical school with the hopes of becoming a physician whose care is enriched by her personal journey of overcoming an eating disorder.
