She/Her/Hers

Beatrice Huang, DO, is a compassionate Psychiatrist practicing at our Plano, Texas facility, where she provides individualized care to patients navigating a range of mental health challenges. Born in Singapore and raised in the Dallas area, Dr. Huang brings a unique perspective to her clinical practice, combining her diverse background with her commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatry.

Dr. Huang was drawn to psychiatry after witnessing the profound impact that mental health can have on the course of a person’s life. Throughout her training, she sought broad exposure in multiple treatment settings and across a wide spectrum of psychopathologies, with particular focus on serious mental illness and complex cases.

She earned dual undergraduate degrees from Southern Methodist University, receiving a BBA in Risk Management and a BS in Biological Sciences. She went on to complete her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an Adult Psychiatry Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Huang is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association, The International Society for Sports Psychiatry, the National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry, the Mississippi Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Osteopathy.

Her clinical training includes both hospital- and outpatient-based care, with experience in adult and child acute inpatient psychiatry, consult-liaison, emergency psychiatry, outpatient adult and child/adolescent psychiatry, addiction clinics, psychotherapy, and the Jackson Veterans Affairs system. She has a particular interest in transition-age youth, women’s mental health, and integrative medicine, with a preference for inpatient and residential settings that allow for longer-term continuity of care.

Dr. Huang has also contributed to academic research, including a residency case series on infectious catatonia and a quality improvement psychotherapy clinic, medical school research on suicide prevention, and undergraduate research on schizophrenia and social cognition.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Huang enjoys traveling, photography, exploring local coffee shops, staying active outdoors, and spending time with her husband and friends.
