Genevieve Rebon, DO
Psychiatrist
She/Her/Hers
Dr. Genevieve Rebon is a psychiatrist serving patients at our San Antonio, Texas location. Originally from California, Dr. Rebon grew up in a Spanish-speaking household and deeply values cultural awareness and connection in the therapeutic relationship. After traveling and living in several states to complete her medical education and training, she ultimately found both personal and professional fulfillment in San Antonio. Over the past four years, she has become rooted in the community, started a family, and is proud to now call San Antonio her permanent home.
Dr. Rebon completed her medical degree at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM) in 2021 and went on to complete her psychiatry residency with the Texas Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research (TIGMER) in San Antonio. Her training included robust clinical experiences across inpatient, outpatient, PHP, and IOP levels of care, with additional emphasis in addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, consult-liaison psychiatry, and geriatric psychiatry.
Dr. Rebon’s professional interests include treating anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, and exploring the intersection between psychiatry and broader social issues such as immigration and disaster mental health. With a passion for evidence-based and integrative approaches to treatment, Dr. Rebon is guided by the biopsychosocial model and deeply values collaborative, multidisciplinary care. She was drawn to our mission due to her belief in the importance of integrated treatment and long-term recovery for complex psychiatric conditions. She is also committed to medical education and was honored with the Outstanding Junior Attending Award in 2025 for her dedication to teaching and mentorship. Dr. Rebon will continue to support trainees as a faculty member with TIGMER.
Outside of work, Dr. Rebon enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking and trying new cuisines, traveling, and sharing quality time with family and friends. She also loves attending concerts, reading memoirs and nonfiction, and watching documentaries, especially in the true crime genre.
