Eating disorders and summer stressors

In this Fox 5 Washington DC segment, Dr. Steven Crawford discusses summer stressors and their impact on eating disorders. Dr. Crawford notes summer presents a time when there's less structure and routine (and oversight) and more time spent in places where people compare their bodies, which can lend a hand in problematic behaviors. 

Dr. Crawford shares getting treatment early on is key and noted some "red flags" caregivers and friends can watch for in loved ones including skipping/avoiding meals; being more conscious about their body; and isolating more or fixating on their appearance.
