Dietetic Series: Nutritional Care of Patients with Diabetes & Eating Disorders

This presentation will explore the complexities of treating diabetes alongside an eating disorder. The intersection between physical, psychological and nutritional health will be discussed along with the unique challenge of balancing blood sugar levels while working to overcome eating disorder behaviors. The presentation will explain the importance of an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach for best treatment outcomes. A specific focus on effective nutritional interventions when working with this patient population will be provided.
