This event is part of our 4-part series for Eating Disorder Informed Professional (EDIP).
An EDIP designation demonstrates that you are clinically informed and can provide a stigma-free space where clients can feel heard, understood and validated.
This presentation will review evidence-based treatment approaches for mood, anxiety, and eating disorders, including CBT, CBT-E, DBT, ERP, EFFT, and FBT. The discussion will cover applicable skills and tools that can be utilized within a short-term treatment model.
The target audience for this continuing education program is mental health providers and clinicians working with individuals with mental health diagnoses. Materials are appropriate for learners with an introductory level of understanding about mental health concerns.
Educational Objectives
- Discuss the main tenets of treatment approaches and application to eating disorder treatment
- Identify and integrate relevant treatment interventions throughout therapeutic process
- Describe each intervention’s effectiveness in addressing the range of eating disorder presentations
