Holiday traditions can bring complex expectations around food, family, and social participation. Led by two dietitians, this presentation explores practical approaches to supporting individuals with eating disorders through holiday challenges. Using clinical examples, participants will examine strategies for navigating disrupted routines, meals and gatherings, food and body commentary, and interpersonal boundaries. The session emphasizes collaborative planning and adaptable skills to support patients before, during, and after the holiday season.
The target audience for this continuing education program is mental health providers and clinicians working with individuals with mental health diagnoses. Materials are appropriate for learners with an introductory level of understanding about mental health concerns.
