In this session, we will delve into the multifaceted nature of eating disorders, examining how various risk factors and cultural influences contribute to their development. Participants will gain insight into recognizing the diverse signs and symptoms that can manifest in individuals, enabling a more nuanced understanding of these conditions. We will also discuss ethical treatment practices that prioritize inclusivity and respect for patients’ unique experiences. By the end of the talk, attendees will be empowered to approach eating disorder assessment and treatment with a well-rounded, compassionate perspective.
