In recognition of National Coming Out Day and LGBTQ+ History Month, Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center is honored to partner with GLSEN and Trans Lifeline for Banned Together, a continuing education and community event.
This presentation will explore the impact of censorship, representation, and the current social and political climate on LGBTQ+ individuals. The CE presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring lived experience voices, highlighting what it means to come out, the importance of community, and the role of affirming resources in promoting resilience. GLSEN and Trans Lifeline will spotlight their ongoing work and share resources to support providers, educators, and community members in creating safer, more inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ youth and individuals. The target audience for this continuing education program is mental health providers and clinicians working with individuals with mental health diagnoses. Materials are appropriate for learners with an introductory level of understanding about mental health concerns.
