DENVER — A popular eating disorder treatment center in Denver said they're seeing a big rise in younger children coming in for help.

The Eating Recovery Center (ERC) said they're seeing a 25% increase in 8- to 12-year-olds in need of eating disorder treatments. So they're creating a more specialized program to adjust care to better serve the increasing demand.

The ERC's treatments have made a big difference for children like Mia Perry.

Like many high schoolers, Mia stays busy studying and running track. But four years ago, things were more uncertain. She and her family were moving to Louisville from London, and that meant leaving her gymnastics community and friends behind.
