CHICAGO (WLS) -- Back-to-school season can be a stressful time for families. For new college students, adjusting can be hard.

That can be triggering for students who already deal with anxiety, mental health or other issues like eating disorders.

Jenna Valentine, Executive Director of the Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center, joined ABC7 Chicago in studio Thursday, along with Lexi Serra, a Butler University student from the suburbs who received treatment for an eating disorder at the Eating Recovery Center.

Valentine and Serra discussed how anxiety can affect students and shared advice for people who may be struggling.
