Ellen Gordon

Ellen Gordon is a clinical manager at Eating Recovery Center in Bellevue. She moved to Seattle from Austin, TX, in the spring of 2023 after working as a primary therapist at Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center in Round Rock, Texas. Ellen is passionate about helping families support and connect with their teens, especially those in special populations such as neurodivergent, attachment disorders, and eating disorders. She utilizes Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her client care. She has also received training in Trust-Based Relational Interventions and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.

Throughout her career in the mental health field, Ellen has worked with teens and families in various supportive settings, including higher levels of care, such as residential/partial hospitalization programs and community outreach or crisis services. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work and bachelor’s in applied Sociology from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

When Ellen is not at work, she enjoys exploring their new home with her husband and their two dogs!
