Justin Brown

Justin Brown is VP of Product at cliexa, where he leads AI for clinical documentation, care pathway intelligence, and revenue cycle workflows. He came to this work from inside the field. Before moving into healthcare AI, he spent fourteen years in behavioral health, starting on the milieu floor as a coordinator and primary therapist before going on to lead utilization review, patient access, payor enrollment, and credentialing at Eating Recovery Center. He knows firsthand what a documentation gap costs a patient fighting for the right level of care, because he built the programs designed to close those gaps.

That background shapes how he builds product. His core argument is that clinical AI only works when it reflects clinical reality: level-of-care-appropriate documentation standards, specialty-specific vocabulary, and the actual way clinicians assess and record risk. Earlier in his career he served on the Kennedy Forum's technical advisory panel during Mental Health Parity Act rulemaking. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds an MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado.
