We take binge eating seriously
Reaching out for help for binge eating disorder (BED) isn’t easy, especially when you’re afraid of being judged or misunderstood. You're not alone. Many patients come to us with those same fears and leave our programs feeling relieved. We know it’s hard, but you're in the right place to get help. Here’s how:
You're with people who already get it
You don’t have to hide what you’re experiencing or explain yourself here. Rhythms includes a dedicated treatment team and peers who understand binge eating, in a space separate general eating disorder programming.
Weight stigma and strict diets? Not here.
It’s not about looking a certain way, it’s about making food feel easier again. Evidence-based therapies help you cope with binge eating patterns, with real life eating situations and nutrition support that doesn’t trigger shame.
Your loved ones are trained on how to support you
Loved ones gain access to free support groups and educational resources to better understand binge eating disorder and learn how to support recovery at home — only at the level of involvement you choose.

Who is Rhythms at ERC designed for?
Rhythms at ERC is a specialized treatment program for adults (18+) with binge eating disorder. If you feel stuck in a cycle of binge eating, food feels overwhelming or out of control, or your relationship with eating is affecting your daily life, our team can help determine whether Rhythms is the right fit through a free, confidential assessment.
How is Rhythms different from a weight-loss program?
Rhythms is an eating disorder treatment program, not a weight-loss program. Rather than focusing on dieting or changing your body, treatment addresses the emotional, behavioral, and psychological factors that contribute to binge eating. Our goal is to help you build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with eating.
Does treatment focus on weight loss?
No, Rhythms does not promote restrictive diets or weight-loss goals. We intentionally use a framework that’s size-inclusive and incorporate that into treatment. This includes size-inclusive spaces, furniture, scales, and restrooms, plus expressive art and creative therapeutic techniques integrated into care.
What does treatment include?
Rhythms at ERC includes individual therapy, group therapy, nutrition counseling, and support from a multidisciplinary team of eating disorder specialists. We’ll work closely with you on reducing binge eating behaviors, developing practical coping skills and building a healthier relationship with food.
Can I receive treatment if I also have anxiety, depression or trauma?
Yes. Many people with binge eating disorder also experience anxiety, depression, trauma or other mental health concerns. Our multidisciplinary team treats both binge eating and co-occurring conditions, helping support your overall mental and emotional well-being throughout recovery.
How do I get started?
Getting started begins with a free, confidential assessment. Our admissions team will answer your questions, learn more about your needs, verify your insurance benefits and help determine whether Rhythms is the right program for you.
Is binge eating disorder different from emotional eating?
Yes, emotional eating is something many people experience from time to time, such as eating in response to stress or sadness. Binge eating disorder is a diagnosable mental health condition that involves recurring episodes of eating large amounts of food while feeling a loss of control, followed by significant distress. If you're unsure whether what you're experiencing is binge eating disorder, our team can help you better understand your symptoms during a confidential assessment.
How do I know if I need treatment for binge eating?
If binge eating feels difficult to control, causes guilt or shame, or is affecting your physical health, emotional well-being or daily life, it may be time to seek professional support. You don't have to wait until things get worse to ask for help. Early treatment can help you better understand what's happening and begin building a healthier relationship with food.
