Benjamin Shepherd

Benjamin F. Shepherd is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. As a therapist, he provides culturally-responsive, trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and bilingual care to English- and Spanish-speaking individuals and couples who experience behavioral health concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, disordered eating). As a researcher, he specializes in examining the mechanisms underlying behavioral health disparities faced by marginalized communities, with a focus on fostering resistance against stigma among LGBTQ+ people.
