Florence

Biography

Florence once had her life planned to perfection — until anorexia, anxiety, and depression shattered the future she imagined. Recovery meant grieving the life she thought she’d have and learning to build a new one rooted in truth, resilience, and self-worth. As an autistic woman, she now understands how much of her story was shaped by masking, perfectionism, and feeling “too much” in a world that didn’t make space for her.

Now a primary teacher specializing in children’s mental health, Florence turns her lived experience into support for young people who deserve to feel seen and safe. Her advocacy spans Girls Talk, Project HEAL, and now ERC’s Say It Brave Collective — a full-circle moment where she gives back to the community that helped her find herself again.

Florence believes in speaking boldly, healing openly, and reminding others that when life breaks apart, a different — and beautiful — future can still be made.
