Sam Sharpe (they/them) is a transgender educator, a PhD candidate in evolutionary biology, and a drag performer. They have given presentations, trainings, and workshops on trans competency, increasing diversity and inclusion in Biology education, and queering STEM at a variety of local and national conferences, including oSTEM, Transforming Gender, MBLGTACC, and the Big 12 LGBTQIA and Allies Summit. Sam is passionate about science communication, disrupting cisnormativity in the biological sciences, and building community and resources to support trans joy and survival.
