Located within The Woodlands Medical Center, and overlooking a serene creek for a comfortable recovery environment, the ERC and Pathlight center in The Woodlands, Texas focuses specifically on eating disorder treatment for adults, adolescents, and children, as well as mood and anxiety disorder treatment for adolescents and children.

With a beautiful expansion newly completed, our 7,000 square foot state-of-the-art treatment center proudly offers an expanded 32-patient Intensive Outpatient Program as well as the addition of a 16-patient Partial Hospitalization Program. Led by compassionate professionals, the center also partners with many healthcare professionals in the community who help light the way for patients and their families to find lasting and sustainable wellness.

Eating Recovery Center | Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center, The Woodlands (formerly The Woodlands Eating Disorders Center) provides outpatient eating disorders and mood, anxiety and trauma-related disorders treatment for adults and adolescents of all genders in The Woodlands, Texas.
An individualized, multidisciplinary approach is used that addresses the psychosocial, behavioral, and medical aspects of these complex illnesses. The components of eating disorder and mood and anxiety treatment typically include individual psychotherapy, nutritional counseling for eating disorders programs, family therapy, and medical monitoring. Other therapies and/or specialists may be recommended based on individual need. A thorough initial evaluation is conducted to develop an individual treatment plan. The center also partners with many healthcare professionals in the community. A list of pediatricians, family practice physicians, psychiatrists, and other specialists versed in the care of those with eating disorders can be provided upon request.

We provide multiple levels of care, all outpatient, to address anything preventing our clients from living the full and enriching life they deserve. Evidence-based interventions, including those based in mindfulness, help patients and families alike interrupt maladaptive thoughts and behaviors to live a values-rich life.

Our treatment philosophy acknowledges the importance of assessment, intervention and discharge planning in successfully addressing behavioral health concerns.  A fully comprehensive assessment is crucial in identifying co-occurring conditions and developing an individualized treatment plan.

    For our out-of-town patients and families, we offer free Travel Concierge Services. Our Eating Recovery Center Concierge Services Representative is available to assist you with a wide variety of needs before and during treatment, including travel arrangements, booking accommodations and help locating local services, such as shopping, dining and much more.

    Family and Alumni Support

    Our support for patients and families does not end at the time of discharge—rather, the treatment team carefully develops a personalized discharge plan, and offers several aftercare services and alumni support programs for patients that do not have an established treatment team.

Paying for Treatment

Insurances accepted change frequently. If you do not see your insurance carrier here, please ask us. The Eating Recovery Center’s insurance and financial specialists will provide a free benefits check. Our team will work tirelessly on your behalf to make treatment possible.

Eating Recovery Center, The Woodlands, formerly The Woodlands Eating Disorders Center, is dedicated to providing the highest quality, comprehensive care available for all forms of eating disorders, body image disturbances, compulsive exercise, and obesity.

Treatment is also offered for mood and anxiety disorders, stress management and other adjustment/life issues. Psychological testing and therapeutic assessment are available as well. Therapeutic assessment is a collaborative form of testing/brief therapy in which the client seeks to gain self-knowledge and understanding leading to better coping skills and life choices.
