Eating Recovery Center Houston focuses specifically on eating disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, and is located in a vibrant part of the city conducive to the social aspects of eating disorder recovery.

Located near Houston’s renowned medical district, the center is ideally placed to best serve patients, should the need for medical intervention arise. Our seven-day-a-week Partial Hospitalization Program offers daily recovery focused programming for patients struggling with eating disorder behaviors. Our Intensive Outpatient Program is three days a week. Both programs are led by a multidisciplinary eating disorder treatment team of compassionate professionals who will help light the path for patients and their families to find lasting and sustainable wellness.

Life at Eating Recovery Center Houston

Eating Recovery Center Houston provides eating disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and/or other related food, eating, and body image illnesses. Treatment is holistic, and addressed by a team of therapists, dietitians, psychiatrists, and primary medicine doctors as well as other eating disorder treatment experts. Individualized treatment plans, evidence-based interventions, medical support, family involvement, and discharge planning are the foundation to a sustainable recovery path.

  • Founded in 2008, Houston Eating Disorders Center partnered with Eating Recovery Center in 2015 and is now Eating Recovery Center, Houston.
  • A multidisciplinary treatment team of eating disorder professionals oversees both the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs.
  • ERC Houston is part of the larger network of Eating Recovery Centers around the country, with access to higher levels of care, including Residential and Inpatient Programs in our Plano, Texas location. The treatment team will work with patients and their families to assure a seamless transition to any of our residential sites, should there be a need for a higher level of care to best support the patient.

    For our out-of-town patients and families, we offer free Travel Concierge Services. Our Eating Recovery Center Concierge Services Representative is available to assist you with a wide variety of needs before and during treatment, including travel arrangements, booking accommodations and help locating local services, such as shopping, dining and much more.

    Family and Alumni Support

    Our support for patients and families does not end at the time of discharge—rather, the treatment team carefully develops a personalized discharge plan, and offers several aftercare services and alumni support programs for patients that do not have an established mood, anxiety, trauma-related and eating disorders treatment team.
